Halloween Festivities Part 3-Trick or Treat

I remember growing up and going to my grandmother's friends house to Trick or Treat. Nowadays, kids go the nicest neighborhoods. Some ride golf carts that are playing music or ride in Red Wagons door to door. I have never seen so much candy. It was a lot of fun and Azland really enjoyed getting dressed up in her Fairy Princess costume.

Halloween Festivities Part 2-Tennis

If you didn't know this about me, I love tennis, my husband loves tennis, we met playing tennis and we hope our daughter loves tennis (she has to). A year ago I was asked to teach the Jr. Tennis program at the Mountain Brook YMCA. This past week I held a little Halloween Tennis Bash.......20 kiddos later, lots of candy, some awesome helpful friends, parents and husband, fun games and lots of hours preparing. I think it was a success and everyone had fun. I think one person in particular really had fun and I'm dedicating this post to him. My sweet husband who has been so helpful with both tennis and photography. Thank you and remember "Love means nothing in tennis, but everything in life", Anonymous

Halloween Festivities Part 1

Well leave it to my husband to come up with the most fitting costume idea. He made himself into a Polaroid Picture or Kodak Moment and I was the Photographer. Fitting, right? It was so much fun taking snap shots of people in the "picture frame". The faces and expressions were priceless. Here are just a few moments we enjoyed at his office Halloween Bash! Now tomorrow will be a Halloween Tennis Mixer and then Halloween Day will finally be here. I assure you I will be back with more pictures.

The Princess In Us All.....

My daughter has all of a sudden turned into a Diva Princess. She only wants to wear tutus and dresses 90% of the time. Now that it's getting cooler it has been harder to convince her that dresses and tutus without pants is going to be cold. The other day she sat down and let me take her picture. I think she looks adorable in it. But, hey I'm her mom and I should. Maybe I should start taking her fashion sense and start wearing tutus...It might pass since it's Halloween. www.katrinatrotterphotography.com

Two Days and Two Photo Shoots Later

Wow! Two days and two photo shoots later I'm tired, but I had a BLAST!!!
My first shoot was a family of 4 beautiful girls at Tannehill State Park. They were so much fun and we could not have asked for better Fall weather.
My second shoot was of a toddler in her awesome Mickey Mouse Halloween costume at The Preserve. Again awesome weather, adorable subject and a great setting.

Sunflowers and Pumpkins

My family and friends spent a cold October day at the Pumpkin patch Saturday. It was so much fun despite the cold wind at the top of the hill, but when we went down in the valley on a covered wagon it got warmer. Thank goodness!! I really had a lot of fun taking pictures at that point (now that my fingers were not numb from the cold). Here are some of my favorites from the trip. Enjoy!!!

Something new and exciting! I have always enjoyed photography. When I traveled as an auditor after college I would take my camera along to capture the beauty and memory of where I had been. This passion quadrupled after having my daughter two years ago. I have never taken so many pictures in my life, but I wanted to capture every moment, smile, tear, giggle, drool, outfit....well you get the picture (No Pun Intended). Photography soon became an obsession of mine. I wanted to explore more & more, so I started studying photography and enrolled in photography classes. Here I am today wanting to capture the special moments in others....These cherished moments......
